I have a Base 2008 Jeep Commander with Alum Alloy rims. One of the rims was found to be cracked when getting new tires 245/65 R17. I want to get new rims how do I know what my rim size is? 7.5x17 ? What is the rim offset originally?
Hi,Gary,it is 17*7.5 and the offset is 32mm.
Can I use a full size tire as a spare for a Jeep Commander?
Hi,Cindyh,Can you explain "full size tire"?
I have 2007 jeep commander orginal tire size is 245/65r17 and i want to change it for Mud tirs 265/70r17 can you please advice is this will fit well without any issues .... thanks lot
Hi,Goez,265/70/17 can't fit for.Try 235/70/17
Will 265/65/17 work?
Hi,Goez,265/65/17 is also can't fit for.The tolerance is little big
Go 245/70/17, fair few mud tyres available in this size.
Hello! I have a 2006 Commander with stock rims. I recently purchased tires size 255/60/r17. What size wheels and offset, bolt pattern, etc, should I shop for? Can I really put 295/40R20's on my Jeep? I have a 2.5 lift on my Jeep. Thanks!
Hi,Twojeeps,the wheel size is 17*7.5,offset 51mm,bolt pattern 5*127.You can also put 295/40/20.
hello! can i use 16' wheel instead of 17' original size without any modification? especially is it fits with brake discs? thanks..
Hi,Erdinc,Can you show the 17'' car wheel size?
nope the brakes will only allow 17"
I have a jeep commander outlander with a hemi. I am lifting it 3 inches in front 2 in the back. Would 265/70/17 go under it without rubbing or any other problems after lifting it? I just don't want to buy something that may not fix. Thanks
I have a 2014 2-door Jeep Wrangler Sport with P225/75R16 tires and I am looking to upgrade on not only the tires, but the wheels too. I am looking at rims size 17x7.5 with a 43.8mm offset, and it is originally meant for a Jeep Commander. With this fit without any further modifications?
Hi,Hines,The stock rims offset for your car is 51mm,I think 43.8mm is little small,You'd better put a 2mm spacers on the wheels.
hi , I have Jeep Commander [XK-2010-5.7L-HEMI] ,The Original tire installed is [245/65R17] , I'm planning to fit new suspension Lift Kit "Old Man EMU-Light".....and I had Wheel spacer (1.25)inch thickness , kindly if someone advice me which Tire size from the following BF-Goodrich All Terrain Can Match my vehicle with the new modification >>>>>>275/70R17......BF Goodrich All Terrain275/65R17 265/70R17265/65R17OR what is the best size I can fit with the modifications mentioned before !Thanks in advance
Hi,Mohamed Wahib,if you still want to use the same wheels,Both the tire size above can't fit for your car. They are not compitible according to the tire calculator result. You can try 235/70/17 or 255/65/17
Hi 2007 jeep commander 17 inch rimsI want to put 18 inch wheel Was looking at 2014 - 216 Jeep Wrangler 18 wheel and tire 255 70 r 18Will these fit?If not can I still use the Wrangler rims and just get new rubber 245/60 r1& ?I've seen 08-2010 Commander that has factory 18 inch wheels Thanks
Hi,Frshtdy,255/70/18 is uncompatible for your car.And if you want to use 08-2010 commander your can try 245/60/18.it is compatible.
ThanksHow about using say a 2012-2016 18 inch Jeep Wrangler OEM wheel with the 245//60/r18 tire?I don't want to use a spacer and 18 inch Commander wheels are harder to findWhile 18 inch Wrangler wheels are plentiful.
Hi,Frshtdy,Wrangler have two bolt pattern, one for 5*114.3 and another is 5*127,But commander is 5*127.You need to confirm it before fit wheels. And For the offset, wrangler is 32mm,commander is 51mm,You still need spacer Or you use aftermarket wheels
I have a 2006 jeep Comander, it has 255-55-r18 tire on 18 inch wheels, I need new tires but everyone tells me not to use 18 inch wheels and tires because they may rub. don't rub now that i can tell. what do you say?
Hi,Fiero,The stock rim size for Comander is 17'',But not all 18'' rims and tire rub the car.Just make sure they are compatible. For your condition,if do not rub now,you can use it and don't worry,If you change to 17'' tires and wheels,You also need to buy a set of 17'' rims.
I have a 2007 commander and looking to put a set of 2013 rubicon rims on. They are stamped with the same 44.45 offset . Will they fit without hitting the caliper. I just tried the rims off my 16 wrangler and they rubbed the caliper.
Hi,Bud,The standard wheel offset for your car is 51mm,I think if you want to put 44.45mm wheels in your car,you can put some wheel spacers.
