Lug pattern for 1965 corvair is 5x4.75(120.7mm), not 114mm.

      Corvairs 1960-1964

Corvairs have always had 5x4.75" (5X127.0) wheels in 13x5.5 or 13x7.5 (! , see Chev parts book). never had 4 bolt pattern (that's mustang) ( and never had 4 cylinders).

I have a 64 Corvair. Stock 4 lug drums. I want to run 16 or 17 inch rims but they're a bitch to find something decent (not tuner style). can anyone point me in the right direction for rims and tire size that would be direct bolt on?????

97 - 02 Nissan Altima/sentra has the correct 4 lug (4x4.5) but the center bore is smaller and the backspace is deeper (your front needs 1" offsets added) If you have found a direct replacement I'd love to know as I'm in the same boat.....

65-69 Corvairs had 13" x 5.5" steel wheels. Never 14" from the factory. Lots of 14" wheels fit, but not factory.

WRONG! 14" wheels came standard on the pickup trucks and
              vans, but not passenger cars.

A handful of 1965 Greenbriars were built. They had 14" wheels. No Corvair pickups or vans were built in 1965. All "passenger car" Corvairs had 13" wheels.

              I just bought a 1961 corvair. 4 door.
I need brakes. I only see 11" diameter shoes and drums.
Mine are 9" radius brake drums with 1.75" wide shoes.

What do I have? Is my year wrong?
              What do I ask for?

                  Hi,TOM SCANLON,you can try tire 185/70R14,rims size: 6Jx14 ET22,bolt pattern is 5x120.65,cb is 71.44mm

...not sure on what’s the best / biggest / widest / maximum tires or rims will fit your car?

Write about the tires you are currently driving on.
