Would ET42 M CB 25 wheels fit my 2021 XC90
Hi, my XC90 2022 model year has equips the factory wheel 9Jx20 with +offset 38.5. Is that possible to replace to 8Jx20 with +offset 49.5? This is for V90 cross country.
Hello, Yoshihiro! Tire would become 11mm closer to suspension components. Brake clearance will be less. Make sure they are not touching. Scrub radius will be changed by -11 mm, this may affect the car's handling.
The offset for the factory 8Jx20 wheels on the first generation listings is incorrect (ET55). The correct offset is ET49, and can be verified on the Volvo website (wheel name is 'Cratus' btw). Also, I'm not aware of any 8.5Jx20, nor any 9jx21 wheels that were fitted as factory equipment (either standard or as options) during the entire XC90 I production run from 2003-2014. The largest wheels available on the first generation XC90s were 20", and there was only one design (Cratus). Perhaps this information was added erroneously from the second generation XC90 II (SPA) platform? I believe there are original wheels that match those sizes for the 2016+ XC90s. Those wheels all have a different centre bore size though (63.4 vs 67.1mm on the first generation), so they aren't interchangeable. As such, they should not be listed under any of the first generation model years.
Thank you, it has been corrected.
Hi - would a 19"x7.5 (offset 50.5) wheel work as a snow tire wheel (assuming a 235-55-19 snow tire for those wheels)?
Hi,Mike,The stock wheel offset is 42.5mm,So 50.5mm is not compatible with it.
My actual Volvo XC90 factory wheels are 275/40R21 107V / 9Jx21 ET38.5, and factory replacement 22" specification would be 275/35R22 104W /9Jx22 ET38.5. Can I put 265/35R22 102V / 9Jx22 ET43 Volvo XC60 factory wheel set on it? Thanks for your advice..
Hi,Zoltán Várkonyi, yes, you can use it.These tires and rims are compatible.
