Hi guys i have a 1970 chevelle with 8inch x 14inch origenal SS wheels and are looking to go up to 18inch wheels and are wondering if i need to find out the off set to order rims and if so how to determan that a guy from tyre shop told me its a positive 6 , the back space is 4.5inch and bolt circle is 5x120, cheers paul,
Hi,Paul A,The stock wheel offset for 15'' is 0mm,So if you want to use 18'' rims,+6mm offset is accessible.you need also to confirm the wheel center bore size besides offset. If it is also same with your current wheels, you can use it.
Hello
Bolt circle is 5x120.65 mm (or 5x4.75 inch). 1970 Chevelle SS has original 14x7 JJ rims with offset=0.34 inch (about 8.64 mm) and optional 14x6 JJ rims with offset=0.88 inch (about 22.35 mm)
But positive 6 and the backspace 4.5 inch is ok.
