It is actually the opposite!! Adding spacers will lower the offset even more and make the wheel poke outside the fenders. The lower the offset, the more the wheel is pushed out. How can you not know one of these basic parameters?

I have 2011 audi a3 2.0tdi sline, i know the bolt pattern is 5x112 or 5x4.41in. I found a set Of hubs online and the site said direct fit but they list the dimensions at 5x4.48...im wondering are all hubs like this to accommodate spindle and cv axle or do you think that hub is listed wrong.

Hi,Bibi,The stock wheel offset for 16'' is 50mm.So 42mm is little small,But you can add spacers.

Have stock rims from 2009 A3 as 7.5Jx17, 112/5 with ET 56.  Running 225/45R17 tires.  Can I use newer Audi wheels 7.5Jx17H2 with an ET of 43 without adjustments?  Difference in offset is 13mm?

Hi,Dave,No,offset 43mm is not compatible with your current wheel offset 56mm.You can add some wheel spacers to increase 43mm to 50mm.

That doesn’t make sense. A more negative offset should work just fine. People do it all the time. Guys are running 35mm aftermarket offsets all the time.
