My 2014 Subaru Outback came with a different tire size than your page indicates: 225/60R17
Hello Rick, thank you, we added base
2003 Subaru Outback H6 3L215/60R16
I just had a replacement set of tires put on my 2013 Subaru Outback 2.5i. The original tires were 215/70R16 and the salesperson at the tire place said I could get tires that are 235/65 -- Continental.
It seems like the front tires are very close to the wheel well and a piece that sticks out as a sort of deflector. I thought I heard the tire rub when I made a sharp, slow turn. Did I make a mistake in getting these bigger tires? Should I return them?
Hi,Cindy,Although i also distrust sales persons,in fact,i have to say he is right.new tire size is right. For your car,The new tire increase the diameter than old one so it may rub the wheel well,I suggest you can take lower tire pressure and drive slowly if possible.
Thank you so much, John! I really appreciate it. I will keep the tires and have some peace of mind now. :)
Can I put 18 inch tire and rim on my 2014 outback.without any issues I love the new look with the 2015 tires and rims
Hi,Pat,18 inch wheels can fit for.But for the tire,Can you show the measurement?
We had a 96 Outback wagon (with brand new tires) that our daughter crashed into a tree. We were able to buy a 2003 L.L.Bean Outback wagon but the rims are 16 inches instead of the 15. Can we just trade wheels for a while? I'd really hate to buy new tires 6 weeks after buying new tires.
Hi,kelly,Wheel-size.com do not trade wheels,And,if your 2003 car wheels size are 16'',The tire must be also 16 inch. Why do you want to buy new wheels?
what I was hoping to do, was take the 16" rims with balding tires off, store them for a bit and put the 15" rims with the brand new tires on the '03 we just got.
Can you put a 17-inch wheel on a 2016 Subaru Outback limited (which come standard with the 18 inch wheels) so you that you have a better choice of all-terrain tires to choose from for better grip/puncture resistance off road and better traction in the snow?
Hi,Joel,Yes,Normally,Most Outback use 17'' rims.
Thanks, John! I figured as much since the base model and the Premium model come with 17-inch rims, but I just wanted to be sure Subaru doesn't set up the Limited differently (i.e., from an ABS perspective, speedo perspective, etc.) so that by putting 17's on I'd be messing with the set up of the car.
I have 17 inch rims on my 2005 outback. Can I put 16 inch rims with 16inch Tires on my outback without affecting speedometer or vehicle? Thank you.
Hi,Robert,Yes,16'' wheels and tires can fit for your car.Whether it affecting on the speedometer,It depend on the tire and wheel size.you can show both your 17'' tires and 16'' tires,I can help you confirm it.
Will 16" rims from a 2006 outback fit on a 2017 Outback, or other 2017 Subaru?I plan to use a tire size that I'm sure is compatible.
Hey John, Can I put 16" tires on my 2010 Subaru Outback Sport? It currently has 17" tires, but almost everything I see advertised used is a 16" tire. Thanks so much!
Hi,Kelly Peckham,Yes,it can fit for.
My 2012 Outback 2.5 i limited has 17 inch rims. I want another set of rims for snow tires. Can I go with 16 inch rims?
Hi,Richard, yes,it can fit for.But you need to confirm whether the bolt pattern and offset is same
Will the 16in wheels off a 2004 subaru legacy fit on my 2006 subaru outback. It came with 17's. Thank you
Hi,Pat W,Outback and legacy share the same bolt pattern and similar offset,You can use 16'' rims to fit on outback
I have 18x8.5 offset 48, rims to put on my 05 Outback Sedan. The tires will be 245/45/18s. will they rub?
Hi,Martin, the rims and tires are compatible for your car.
Can i get away with 245/50/18 tires as well?
i have a 2106 outback premium with 225/60/18" wheels. Alt.size is the 225/65/17" that come also on premium car. I want to put on 215/55/17" wheels/snows, rim tested and clearance..ok. I have this snow tire now -will this tire be too small or do i have to buy new 225/65/17 snows. i know speedo will be off, don't care. thanks.
Hi,craig,Normally,if the winter tire'width is bigger,it will more safer,And 215/55/17 tested is ok.You can use it.If you have more money,You can also buy 225/65/17.For my view, they are not too much different
Hello,I have a 1996 subaru outback legacy with brand new tires 15" wheel. My daughter got in an accident. We just picked up a 2004 subaru outback h6 3.0 with 16" wheels that are nearly bald. Is it possible that the wheels will change over or do you think the calipers will be too big on the 2004 for the 15" to fit?Thank you for your time and expertise!
I am looking
I am looking to get a outback. but I can. ot find any all terrain tires that will fit. I am using the stock specs. cld I put on different size tires for winter use? or off road use?
Hi,CARL,yes, you can use different tire size, but it should compatible with your stock specs
I was wondering, I have a 2015 Subaru Outback Premium with 225 65 17 tires on it, would I be able to put a 235 65 17 tire on it to run with it running ok and not rubbing
Hi,Tim,these two tires are compatible. You can use it.
I have a 2001 Subaru Outback Limited. It has 225/60R16 tires on it, and that is the listed stock size on the door sticker. You do not list that as a factory size. I am looking for a taller tire to get my speedometer closer. It reads 70 when I am doing 65.
I'm wondering if a 16 inch steel rim off a Forrester will fit my 2002 outback wagon. I have a set of snows that I'd like to put on these steel rims for easy winter season change overs.
Hi,Joe,For 2002 outback wagon, the wheel is 6.5Jx16 ET48,bolt pattern is 5x100,cb is 56.1mm,You can compare it with your steel rims.
Can 215/70R16 winter tires be used in 2019 Subaru Outback Limited
Hi, YS LIn,What your current tire size?I can help you confirm it.
What is the bolt pattern on my 2014 outback with 225/60/17. Is it 5x100 or 5x114.3 cause I was gonna put my Acura TL rims on that’s are 5x114.3 but I keep seeing 2 different sizes for the outback’s
Hi,Zachariah Hall,You can try 5*100.
...not sure on what’s the best / biggest / widest / maximum tires or rims will fit your car?
Write about the tires you are currently driving on.
