Hi, I've got a Golf 06 MKV FSI. I've recently switched it with GTI MK5 wheels with tyres 225/45 R17. Fits fine and drives well but when driving there is a little grinding wheel noise. Could this be because the wheels don't fit my FSI? Please help!
Hi,Ray,The grinding may be comes from the wheel offset is uncompatible. Can you show your current wheel offset? and your stock wheel offset?
Hi , I got a 2009 MKV 2.5 FSI .wondering which rim and tire set would be most gas saving for the daily drive?thx
Hi,Ming,Normally,The most gas saving wheels and tires size are stock rims and tires. And For gas saving, there are not too much effect from wheels and tires.

Hi,Bojan,Does the 18'' wheel bolt pattern is 5*100?if yes.the rims can fit for.For the tires, the stock golf tire is 225/45/17 .So 225/40/18 can fit for.225/45/18 can't fit for.
Yeah, its 5x100, i was just concerned about the tires and will it have enough clearance from the suspension.
I fitted a set of 16'' BBS Alloys to my Golf Cabriolet and the back passenger spring holding cup is rubbing off the tire its only a small rubbing sound but it has left a mark in the tyre. The other rear driver side is not rubbing at all any suggestions?Regards james
Hi, James Nolan,You can check the tire pressure of left one.May be it is different from other side. And if both sides tires size of rear is same,it may be caused by road condition.
Checked the pressure both are the same I have also fitted a 5mm spacer disc that sits on the back of the wheel rim but its extremely difficult to fit when putting on the wheel studs. Thanks for the advice.
